Heavy Sigh

I love winter. It is my favorite season. I love bundling up. I love it cold. I hate it hot. I even love the snow.

But this is ridiculous. You should see a city in these pictures and a river, but you can't. Because of snow. On April 18th. April 18th. This is not helping my mood. Heavy sigh.
There is a river in this picture.

  1. Yeah... I don't miss that.
Sorry, kiddo. I hope it's beautiful again soon so they kids can play!!

  2. It could be a hot and humid induced haze hiding the river!! I don't like hot weather either. I hate humidity. While we didn't have the predicted "slushy snow" here yesterday, it was cold and windy.

    Best,
    Bonnie

  3. We tried to take DQ to the park yesterday because she missed the 80 degree weather when she was in the hospital and the sun was glorious. But, with 50 mile an hour winds and temps hoovering around 40, we lasted less than one minute. She was placed in the swing and taken out immediately. Heavier sigh :(

Having a child with a CHD is like being given an extra sense---the true ability to appreciate life. Each breath, each hug, each meal is a blessing when you've watched your child live off a ventilator, trapped in an ICU bed, being fed through a tube. Each minute is a miracle when you've watched your child almost die and come back to you.
